[He inclined his head and offered his own name in return.]
This venerable one is Dongfang Qingcang, Moon Supreme of the Moon Tribe, Ruler of Cangyanhai. In this world, this venerable one is Captain of the Phantom Moon.
[After another moment, he stepped forward, to approach Ganondorf and begin circling him. Giving him a properly appraising look over. His stride was straight-backed, slow. A king giving court. The hermit crabs flowed after him excitedly, keeping close to his heels.
Something Ganondorf would notice now that Daqiang was in motion - Despite the wind that blew and the light flutter of his sleeves, his hair remained perfectly straight as it hung down his back. His robes (silk, long, trailing in a train the crabs eagerly followed) did not snag on the rocks of the shore or come away wet at the hems as they were pulled lightly over the sea-darkened sands.]
[An interesting introduction. Ganondorf arches his brow, then bows his head slightly - a gesture of acknowledgement and respect. Whether or not he actually has any remains to be seen; it seems he has found one of the Powers, so to speak, of this world.
More than the King of Hyrule ever was.
He remains at ease as Daqiang circles him, posture straight. As befitting his own status of a King; though he does watch the Captain out of his peripheral vision.]
How should one address you?
[Just to establish that- for this is more than a mortal by his own gaze. Interesting.]
I am Gerudo by birth. But now-
[A quirk of lips.]
Now, some call me the Demon King.
[It's not bragging, or meant to intimidate. A simple statement of fact - as though it would explain what Daqiang seems to sense.]
[Supreme. The title galls him, but- it is no more toxic to him than was calling Rauru Highness. He nods, though the certainty has him chuckle once, a short 'huh' of amusement.]
I held sway over legions. Monsters, demons- their nature matters not to me. But I am indeed a King, even in this place.
[A beat of silence]
You introduced your self as Supreme, but you specified that in this world, you are but a Captain; would something stop you from growing beyond, a Ruler once more?
[This, this is curiosity. Is there something above even this Moon Supreme that halts him from lording over more?]
[He repeated, tasting the words and the implications they held. He did not laugh the way Ganondorf hald, but he did let out a soft snort that belied the lack of emotion in his voice.]
Just as you do not cease to be a king, even in this place, do not presume that because this venerable one is also a Captain that he has lowered himself to only a Captain.
'but a captain'...
[He paused in his circling, shook out a sleeve to scatter the crabs at his feet a bit. His eyes flicked over to the tattoo on on the back of Ganondorf's hand and then back up to meet the man's gaze.]
Attempting to rule this world is a separate matter from being a ruler, Demon King Ganondorf.
[A statement of fact and clarification in one. Almost an accusation. You are above such a station; why do you appear to be content with it?
He ignores the crabs, attention solely on the 'man' before him. He wonders if the Moon Supreme has already seen through him; but then, Zelda and Queen Sonia did so very quickly as well. Either way - this is not something he intends to turn into a confrontation.]
You are content with ruling over your...[He pauses, searching for words. Ones that won't outright cause offense, or at least can be veiled enough that the facade of tact can be maintained.]...current purview?
[There's enough of a question in his tone that opens the door for correction. For now.]
[He agreed: above such a station and content with being a captain. It was obvious, however, that Ganondorf was genuinely vexed by this perspective.]
This world means nothing to this venerable one. Being it's ruler or being a captain are equal ways of passing the time. Captain is simply is more interesting.
[Vexed is an understatement. Ganondorf hides a frown, though not very well. Perhaps the Moon Supreme and King Rauru have more in common than first thought.]
I would have thought differently.
[Surprisingly honest. But. No matter.
That frown even disappears. Slowly.]
But I suppose to a God, such command of the world would be boring at best.
[If Ganondorf was expecting any coyness about Daqiang's status, he would find there was absolutely none. Similarly, Daqiang was not surprised to be named as such so quickly. The man's spiritual presence was that of an immortal - corrupted, perhaps, by whatever the evil spirit he commanded actually was - but still an immortal. One that apparently commanded 'monsters' and demons in his own world. It was not surprising he could tell Daqiang was akin to a god.]
So long as you give this venerable one no reason to, no.
[He did not care about the world at large. But he did have ties to it. People that were his. Both his responsibility protect and his... that were friends. And promises he'd made to certain others. and if his wife tells him to intervene But outside of that, the battles of others were their battles. Not his.]
The Moon Tribe value strength. If you can take it and keep it, then it is yours.
[All paled to him, regardless of their royal or divine status.
...not as much in this world, with his power sealed in the manner it was. But few could measure up enough to be considered even remotely in the range of just potentially being an equal.]
Should it occur, this venerable one will be very clear on the matter, Demon King Ganondorf.

You are not... mortal. 'Human' mortal.

[He says with with all the confidence of someone who knows demons intimately before tilting his head in acknowledgement.]
You may address this venerable one as Moon Supreme, Ganondorf. Are you a king of demons?
[Not being a demon does not mean he couldn't rule over them.]
